Teaching Online With Jeff: My nephew, Jeff DeSurra, is creating a YouTube channel to help train educators for online teaching. Jeff currently works for YouTube and previously worked at Fuller Seminary, coordinating their distance learning program. You can subscribe to his channel for ongoing support & PD.
Lesson #1 - Live Q & A - I really enjoyed this introduction. I especially appreciated his discussion of whether to conduct synchonous or asynchronous lesson. I agree with Jeff that right now we really need to focus on keeping it simple an focusing on content.

ASCD provides a pro tip sheet for transitioning to online learning. My favorite pieces of advice they give include: think first about what you want to teach, not what technology you want to use, and my favorite advice - look for ways to work collaboratively with other teachers.
